White Charcoal/Binchotan

  • Product of Thailand, sourced from plantation Eucalyptus
  • 100% organic, no chemical additives
  • Burns smokeless with a high heat and leaves very little ash
  • Longer lasting than lump charcoal

White charcoal, or “binchotan”, is made using an ancient Japanese method that creates charcoal with unique properties. White charcoal produces no flame, lasts a very long time and has very little aroma when burning. Unlike normal lump charcoal, white charcoal has a higher carbon content, reducing the volatile material which produces the aroma. It is because of the high carbon content that makes white charcoal difficult to light.

White charcoal can also be used as a water filter, remove odours in the air, absorb moisture, produce negative ions and reduce electromagnetic radiation. White charcoal can also be used as a decorative item.

  • 10kg White Charcoal / Binchotan

Safety Warning:

Please note, all charcoal types should never be used inside homes, tents or enclosed areas, unless the area is well ventilated. Burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide which is both odourless and invisible to the eye.

Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, confusion, disorientation or collapse. In severe cases, it can cause permanent damage, memory loss or death.
